Mr Chris Mann

MBChB, BSc. (Hons), MD, MRCOG, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon

Mr. Mann qualified from the University of Leicester Medical School in 1988 and underwent postgraduate training in the West Midlands. He received further extensive one-to-one training in the surgical treatment of endometriosis from some of the world's leading laparoscopic surgeons, including David Redwine in the USA, Daniel Dargent and Dennis Querleu in France and Marc Possover in Germany. Mr Mann introduced the technique of advanced laparoscopic excision of endometriosis to the Midlands in 1999. Mr Mann is a Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists Accredited Gynaecological Oncologist and Preceptor in Minimal Access Surgery.

Expertise in laparoscopic surgery only comes with time spent in the operating theatre. Over the past ten years, Mr Mann has successfully treated more than 400 patients suffering from endometriosis and one thousand patients suffering from a variety of other gynaecological conditions. This vast experience is invaluable to patients. He has published in peer reviewed journals on the subject as well as lectured nationally and internationally on endometriosis, oncology and laparoscopic surgery.  

Mr Mann is also an expert witness, offering a UK based medico-legal expert witness service and provides high quality, concise, independent reports to instructing solicitors and medico-legal reporting companies.

Medico-legal expert witness areas of expertise include: gynaecology, colposcopy and cervical screening, laparoscopic gynaecological surgery including complications/negligence associated with this, pelvic injury following trauma, miscarriage up to 14 weeks following trauma or road traffic accidents, and abuse and assault.
